Nathan Johnson
Nathan started Utah Valley Books in 2013.
His accounting career began in 2003 with a small family owned start up in the transportation industry. He progressed from AP/AR Manager to Controller of this company and helped qualify for the Inc 500 list in 2007.
While progressing in the ranks of this small but rapidly growing business, he earned a Bachelors Degree in Accounting & Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 2008. This experience of working 50+ hrs/week while earning a degree provided an in depth experience and solid foundation to move forward with.
Nathan learned about hard times in 2008 during the financial crisis. The businesses he was involved with were greatly affected. Over the next 5 years he moved into a CFO role and played a key part in avoiding financial ruin, creating a new plan, and ultimately providing a way for the businesses to continue in a profitable manner.
When there was some extra time, Nathan decided he would focus on his health after burning out for many years. During this time he earned a Black Belt in the internal arts of Taiji and Baguazhang. He continues this practice today.
Since 2013 Nathan has been on the path of refining and growing his business. In his role as Fractional CFO, Accountant, Bookkeeper, and Tax Preparer he has worked with leasing, executive recruiting, retail, investment, auto mechanic, transportation, and tech businesses. He naturally excels at problem solving, attention to detail, finishing a job, and maintaining a high level of integrity. He has helped many businesses optimize their operations, escape looming trouble, and achieve results they didn't know were possible.
In 2018 he added Wealth Management through Commercial Real Estate Strategies to his offering. In 2022 he began specializing in Law Firm Profitability. He enjoys working with law firms and helping them succeed.
Today he spends his time studying as though he is a CFO of a Law Firm, focused on fine-tuning the ways he helps his clients improve and sustain their Profitability. Utah Valley Books currently offers CFO, Accounting, Tax, and Wealth services to achieve this goal.
